Klaipeda Science and Technology Park
Klaipeda Science and Technology Park (KSTP) is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Klaipeda University, providing strategic, technical and administrative assistance to companies/projects related to the development of new technologies and innovations.
Our objective is to gather under one roof enthusiasts of successful development from Klaipeda city and all western Lithuania, progressive thinking students full of innovative ideas, post-graduates, entrepreneurs who aim to be the creators of the future of the region, who generate ideas and seek to implement them into businesses; to enhance collaboration between science, industry and other fields of economy as well as development of high technologies; and to sustain and develop the scientific potential. We are the center of innovation culture and entrepreneurship enhancement in the Klaipeda Region.
The mission of KSTP is to promote the development of modern scientifically susceptible technologies, to provide infrastructural and consulting services for innovative enterprises and business ideas in western Lithuania and the whole country.
Our main R&D directions are marine technologies, information technologies and telecommunications, transport and transportation technologies, and environmental technologies. We offer consultation and training services, technology transfer services, intellectual property management services and informational services.
KSTP's role in SUBMARINER
In close collaboration with Klaipeda University, KSTP will prepare and support regional development strategies for three envisaged new marine uses in Lithuania and will contribute to the building of an information and networking platform on new uses.
