Swedish Maritime Day

The Swedish Maritime Day will be a day for both overview and specialization in marine and maritime industries with great importance for the future of Sweden. The EU's Integrated Maritime Policy and the annual European Maritime Day is the inspiration for the Swedish Maritime Day (SMD) which provides an exchange platform for those involved in maritime activities in business, research and education, associations, and public administration.
The conference provides a common morning of talks and panel discussion. Participants include cabinet ministers, senior representatives of industry and research, as well as representatives from the European Commission.
The afternoon includes eight parallel tracks that allow people to customize their personal conference program. The thematic sessions include shipping, maritime engineering, offshore and marine energy, marine biotechnology, marine food, maritime tourism and marine management and marine planning.
